Now that you know how to recreate Kirsten Dunst‘s romantic make-up from the “On The Road” photocall during the Cannes Film Festival, why not steal her hairstyle while you’re at it?

In fact, The Fashion Court will give you two ultra-beautiful looks to choose from!

Kirsten and her hairstylist Marcus Francis were totally inspired by the beautiful flower-embellished Dolce & Gabbana headband that she wore with her white dress, and wanted to create a look that was “flirty, undone, with a bit of whimsical” to play off the head-piece.

Marcus prepped her damp hair with Phyto Phytovolume Actif Maximizing Volume Spray before blow drying with a boar’s hair round brush. He then sectioned her tresses on the side from the front with a middle part down the back in order to keep the hairlines smooth and allow for the flyaways to appear elsewhere.

To add some texture, Marcus applied Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray throughout. The next step was placing the headband back and away from the front of her hairline to leave her swept bangs swooping across her forehead.

“I took three sections on each side and randomly twisted and pinned upward close to the headband. Subtle flyways add to this style making more wearable and modern and less feeling like a wedding.”

Are you feeling the fairytale vibe of this perfectly imperfect style?

After all the twist and turns Kirsten endured with her fun photocall ‘do, it was time to let her hair down for the red carpet premiere of the film! The 30-year-old actress joined her costars at Palais des Festivals sporting a vibrant Christian Dior gown and a full mane of spiral curls.

“Kirsten’s look for the premiere was all about cool young glamour, as sometimes many overdo it for the red carpet. The moment needed to be about the fuchsia dress!”

Check out his step-by-step guide to achieve your very own set of glamorous red carpet-ready curls!

On towel dried hair, spray the Phyto Phytovolume Actif  on the mid shaft and ends. Make a deep side part using the arch of your eyebrow as a point of reference. Blow dry with a large vented ionic round brush keeping the volume and movement on the ends with no lift at the roots.

Using a 1″ curling iron, wrap medium size sections from the mid shaft to the ends holding for three seconds and spray with L’Oréal Elnett Hairspray after each piece. Wrap the hair back from the face on either side and keep the wave from the cheekbones down. In the back wrap the entire area in the same direction around the curling iron. Brush out the hair with a Mason Pearson Popular Mix Paddle Brush very well leaving just the subtle S shape of the wave.

To create the heavy swoop across the face bend only the ends with the curling iron away from the face to blend in with the side of the hair.  Use Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream to smooth out and give sheen for a polished and finished look.

You got all that? Good! Happy styling!
